Harvest Rain is the musical project of Jason and Jamey Thompkins. The music itself can be described as haunting dark folk blended with the minimal Cold-Wave sound of certain bands from the 80's. The music of Harvest Rain has been called Autumnal and the songs often deal with Autumn, ghosts, night, Her (or 'She'), morning, dawn, the supernatural or paranormal and ancient legends and civilizations. The Thompkins brothers were born in the rural farmlands of the South and this portrays itself in the overall aura of the band. The albums are often recorded in ritual environments and this 'home-grown' feel is what gives Harvest Rain it's unique aura.
A new album, "Cathedral Weather", is going to be worked on this Autumn/Winter with new member Derek Lown.
