Ordo Equitum Solis (abbreviated OES) are an alternative music band consisting of French Leithana, pseudonym of Nathalie Herrera (vocals, keyboards, zither, percussions) and Italian Deraclamo, pseudonym of Paolo De Marco (vocals, guitar). The duo formed in 1988, and released albums and toured between 1990 and 2000.
The musical style of OES does not fall into a precise category. While the early albums have pronounced industrial, esoteric darkwave and a touch of medieval influences, with time their musical style matured, embracing multi-faceted sonorities between neofolk, experimentalism and ballad songs. The albums, that include also instrumental tracks, are characterized by a significant switch and mix of genres, making Ordo Equitum Solis' music unusual, various, intimistic and hard to describe. Distinguishing features are Leithana's voice, Deraclamo's folk guitar, lyrics in various languages (English, French, Latin, Italian), highly-emotional melodies, experimental effects, romantic and decadent atmosphere, and remarkable, sometimes provocative arrangements.
Ordo Equitum Solis' releases had often been concept-albums, inspired by symbolic themes or personal experiences. The albums denote also the duality of the band, between Leithana's often inflexible creative genius, and Deraclamo's instinctive inspiration.

Real Name: Tomas Pettersson
Profile: The inspiration and objective to initiate an individual project occurred during Tomas Pettersson's involvement in Archon Satani, as Mikael Stavöstrand (the other half of Archon Satani) decided to form his side project 'Inanna' in 1991. But Ordo Equilibrio awaited to originate until May of 1993 as Tomas decided to abandon his participation in Archon Satani by reason of several insignificant inconsistencies pertaining to the bands current status and continuing progress. Accoring to Tomas, "Ordo Equilibrio's primary purpose was to serve as the aesthetic and creative outlet for a multitude of ideas, aesthetics, ambitions and ideals. And which still remains the primary objective of the foundation today."

(Live) members: Chelsea Crook (1994 till 1998), ex-girlfriend of Tomas Pettersson. Featured on vocals (mostly backing vocals) on The Triumph Of Light... And Thy Thirteen Shadows Of Love, I4I & Conquest, Love & Self Perseverance.

Folket Bortafor Nordavinden (The People Beyond the Northwind) have spellbound audiences for over two decades with their raw, shamanistic sound of ancient Nordic cultures.

Folket Bortafor Nordavinden was formed by Benny Braaten in 2007.
Many lineups have performed since then and guest appearances have been made.
The first lineup was Benny with Hanna Wistedt and the longest lasting so far was Benny with Gustav Holberg.
Current lineup consists of Benny, Erik Lillehagen, Espen Winther & Martin Kufahl (when circumstances allow).
Other lineups have featured John Gunnar Brynjulvsrud, Ingrid Galadriel Aune Falch, Runahild.
Guests over the years have been Kjell Braaten, Kati Ran, Vigharthur Lind Thomsen, Maria Franz & Thomas Hallberg.

"O Tempora, O Mores!" is the debut album of Germany’s most promising new neofolk artist: Vrîmuot! While staying true to the genre's core aesthetics and stylings, Vrîmuot’s Mythopoeic Darkfolk rather equals a reinforcement and update of old neofolk values.

Vrîmuot from the fabled Teutoburg Forest, Germany, infuses fresh blood into the time-honored body of neofolk. This is made clear - resoundingly so - by "O Tempora, O Mores!" (Cicero: "Oh the times! Oh the customs!"), the project's first album.

Vrîmuot (Middle High German for "candour") was founded by composer, multi-instrumentalist and singer T.S.. While staying true to the genre's core aesthetics and stylings, his music rather equals a reinforcement and update of old neofolk values, created the DIY-way without any digital tools and unfolding in unusually long, intense narratives of crafty complexity.

Describing his venture as "Mythopoeic Darkfolk", T.S. wields his metaphorical heft to cathartic effect, conveying a positive message. "It is only through self-reflection that we transcend mundane existence, lighting a flame that strengthens and warms us. A flame of hope. An eternal flame."

"O Tempora, O Mores!" is "a polemic put to song", he elaborates, "based on personal experience of loss and recapture but also relatable to modernity and its inherent ills." Above all though, his intent is to evoke feelings in the spirit of the Romantics, escaping the present "samsara" to seek enlightenment, "the higher aim our natural being is striving for."

Likewise, the artwork of "O Tempora, O Mores!" is centered around 19th century sculptor Gotthard Sonnenfeld's statue "Besiegt" ("vanquished"), with medieval woodcuts and runes representing each tune and its "riddle" …

"O Tempora, O Mores!" was mastered by Markus Stock (Empyrium) and is available as 2CD hardcover book edition (18x18cm, 36 pages with lush artwork and a 18-minutes bonus CD with two exclusive songs) and LP.
