Osi And The Jupiter — молодой и пока еще малоизвестный проект Американского музыканта Шона Дета, основанный в 2015 году в городе Кент, штат Огайо.
Osi And The Jupiter is a young and still little-known project by American musician Sean Det, founded in 2015 in Kent, Ohio. The project was named by Sean in honor of his two German Shepherd dogs Osiris and Jupiter. The author himself relates music to such heat as Scandinavian folk and neofolk. Basically, Sean himself works on the project, being a multi-instrumentalist, like most authors of such creativity. Attracting only one musician under the pseudonym Kakophonix while recording the cello.
In addition to his work with Osi And The Jupiter, Sean is the vocalist and guitarist for two other metal bands, the occult black metal band Burial Oath and the doom metal band Witchhelm. Sean also constantly keeps in touch with fans and people who are simply interested in his work, performing and attending local concerts and open music venues.

Helmed by vocalist multi-instrumentalist Sean Kratz, OSI AND THE JUPITER first emerged from its cocoon in 2016 with the debut album Halls of the Wolf. Led by the ever-poignant, goosebump-inducing cello work of co-conspirator Kakophonix, the album set forth the band's aesthetic, which would come to even fuller fruition the next year with Uthuling Hyl, released by current label home EISENWALD. Not surprisingly, Uthuling Hyl became many people's introduction to OSI AND THE JUPITER, and garnered the group favorable comparisons to Warduna, Forndom, Of the Wand and the Moon, Sonne Hagal, and Vàli among others - esteemed company, to be sure. However, OSI AND THE JUPITER are, by comparison, an American entity, which imbues their creations with a strange and totally unique disconnect from the Old Europa similarly channeled by those aforementioned contemporaries. There exists within their creative sphere a distant yet psychically strong conduit to the lore and traditions of the ancients - a veritable bloodline that empowers Kratz and Kakophonix. A surer-footed suggestion of such came with the Grå Hest 7 this past August, and now fully blossoms with the band's masterful third album, Nordlige Rúnaskog. Quite possibly the most perfect music for autumnal fires and the dying of summer's light, here do OSI AND THE JUPITER weave wistful ruminations on old days, The Old Ways, and the ways in which the turning of the seasons mark our lives. It's every inch the superior to the group's preceding recordings, and yet no marked changes have occurred within this iron-girded aesthetic

The music on „Cedar and Sage“ is again channeled through various representations of life, death, and rebirth. The songs resonate as tributes to these fundamental concepts, as they explore the spiritual connection to death and communication with otherworldly entities through incantations among nature. Sacred sacrifice plays a big part: What is given, you must give back to nature in good faith. It’s all about finding one’s own path and keeping the inner flame alive. Besides regular contributor Kakophonix on Cello, many other guests are involved this time: Among others, Dan Capp (Wolcensmen, Ex-Winterfylleth) provided lyrics and vocals for one song; so did Erik Moggridge (Aerial Ruin, Bell Witch, Stygian Bow) and Shawn Haché (Tithe/Night Profound). Czech project Nemuer played talharpa and did guest vocals for the opening track.
