Real Name: Ulex Xane Streicher is one of the Industrial underground legends. It is the solo Power Electronics project of Ülex Xane and was the first Power Electronics project in the Southern Hemisphere, and the first skinhead project of this kind worldwide. Streicher began in 1984 in Melbourne, Australia, while Xane was issuing material by his other early projects such as Psy. Phalanx and Nife Junger on his first label, Extreme. Streicher released tape recordings via Xane's new label Zero Cabal throughout the 90s, as well as ongoing LP, CD and cassette releases on European labels and many international compilations. Australian-born, of British/Celtic parentage and ancestry, Xane was originally inspired by his contact in the early 80s with Come Organisation (William Bennett of Whitehouse) and Broken Flag (Gary Mundy of Ramleh), and by his earlier experiences in the skinhead scene after leaving school. Initially called 'Streicher 84' (inspired by the skinhead bands Condemned 84 and Combat 84), Xane developed Streicher into his own unique style of Power Electronics, which has sometimes been referred to as 'Oi! Noise'. Thematically the focus is on skinhead/Oi! culture (Streicher Skins), nihilism/misanthropy, radical politics, Thulean occult lore, European heritage, and warfare/military tactics in the age of global terrorism.
