"Since the beginning of the project in 1999, Westwind tends to be the soundtrack of the end, the end of it all, a certain perfume of roaring machine guns, swinging bullets, and collapsing buildings.
The first efforts were marked by the WWII era, from all the sides. After the kamikaze-themed album « Le Vent Divin », the apotheosis came in 2004 with the twin release of « Tourmente », which told us the tragical fate of Brest during the bombing of the allied on the German forces based in the town.
Forget all known conflicts, Westwind digs deep down in mankind to pull out the fate of these wars : Destruction.
The end of the world, that’s what it’s all about in the new Westwind double album « Ravage », a psychedelical maelstrom of electronic & martial ambient."
