Epic dark ambient / noise / industrial journey by Icelandic artist Dauðaþráhyggja which translates as 'Death Obsession'.
'Death Obsession' is a mindmelting, overwhelming, cathartic and hypnotic body of work that needs your attention and deep listening ears attuned to the maximum capacity, and is completed with some very striking artwork realised by D//O over the last few years.
Combining dark ambient, death industrial, tense synth melodies, meditative noise walls and biting chaos, with a few elements of surprise, sinister turns and beautiful twists as we move through, until we get to the highly emotional closing piece which is centred around minimal rumbling drone sounds and sombre but slowly uplifting piano refrains.
