Do you like your power electronics totally old school, totally depraved, totally filthy? Then look no further: Swedish/American project Kontakt Service (joint union of Ideal Father and Human Vault) will provide just what you're looking for. With the pictures and quotes on the cassette sleeve lifted from the classic Swedish crime smut magazine Kriminal Journalen, one could say Kontakt Service are wearing their heart on their sleeve. This is all about that classic low-brow tabloid sleaze.
And musically, too: churning, droning analogue synths, piercing higher frequencies, buried sadistic vocals, disconcerting speech samples. Very traditional, classic death industrial/power electronics violence that evokes the most potent and powerful elements of the genre. Slowly evolving, filthy audial sadism that's about as sophisticated as a rusty blade - but endlessly effective and impactful.
To put it simply, if the antihuman sentiments of the likes of Sutcliffe Jugend hit home, then this will too. Like a power drill to the back of your head.
