After more than 2 active years and 42 limited cassette releases, A.V.A. is proud to present its first vinyl release. 'Ontmanteling' is the title of the first full-length by Antwerp-based conspirator O Ratel Ratel.
Coinciding with the vinyl we're reissuing the project's 'Zomerzonde' cassette. First released in 2016 by Australian-based (and now defunct) Mazurka Editions in an edition of 22. These two releases are available as a bundle at a reduced price. Get in touch for wholesale enquiries and promo requests.
O RATEL RATEL - 'Ontmanteling'
Virtuous projections of violent contours and silken valleys. A monumental summit constructed from stone and covered in fog.
The choir exists of out congregated columns and symmetrical spires, an exquisite formation revealed against the majesty of the sky. Basalt gets dismantled, as an expanding arc illuminates a primeval rift. A dedication of emotion and loss, crumbling to the sound of a tolling bell.
The debut full-length vinyl release by O Ratel Ratel. Disassembled synthesizer remnants and fragments of tape recordings are filtered through a web of symbolism. A coarse, but refined palette of sound exploration.
