36 years ago, when I was 15 years old, I recorded my first "industrial" music. I never thought much about these recordings as they were quite primitive and youthful experiments (in my ears). As the years went by I forgot all about them, and I was quite surprised when I found an old tape saying "1987" a few years ago - I thought these recordings were lost forever. The time has now come to share this music - expertly mastered and restored by Lasse Marhaug the complete Crematorius recordings will be released on vinyl by Urashima in 299 copies next month.
Crematorius are the first recordings ever made by Henrik Nordvargr Björkk, recorded on a four track porta studio in 1987. Remastered by Lasse Marhaug in 2023. Limited 299 copies.

"Åthävor" is an old Swedish word meaning gesture, particularly a strange or odd one. Like the word itself, the music here is equally strange, an ever-evolving collage of found sounds, field recordings, and audible dreams and nightmares. Disconnected, erratic, and unpredictable, much like an odd gesture or spasm. Enjoy the ride.
