"Dolorism is a french dark ambient one man project. The project was born in 2009 with a few songs, used for the french three head project « Dedale(s) » with Dolorism, Adrien Mailler and Loki Fun Lilith.
The first full album of Dolorism, « Wandering in Eternal City », was released by french label Le Crepuscule du Soir and Hong Kong label Renaissances Production.
The main inspiration of the project is the Swedish RPG " KULT " based on Gnosis and psychological horror. Demiurgos is gone, leaving his kingdom in the hands of his children, Archons and Death Angels lead by Astaroth. The world of XX century is an illusion hiding many mysteries, awful horrors and wonders behind the Veil. Now the Veil between the worlds tears up gradually. After wandering in Eternal City, now we enter into the cogs of Elyseum. The Jails of Mankind are Madness, Passion/lust, Spacetime, Death and Dreams.
The second Dolorism's album contains 8 pure dark ambient and bombastic tracks, one morbid folk ballad and one tune by a special guest playing in a very different style.
Clive Barker's books, paintings of Hieronymus Bosch , Francis Bacon and Salvador Dali ,and some fantastic films have also had an influence on the production of this End of Day soundtrack dictated by the Machine."
