I'm trying to discover where a track 5 on Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud 'The Smell Of Blood But Victory' is from, as I like it a lot.

Uploaded >here< where you can stream it.

I'm guessing it could be either in Russian or Serbian?

If you know what it is, or where I can find similar songs, please let me know. Especially old recordings.

PS I found a video of TMLHBAC playing live on YT while trying to find the song (the quality improves after a while) that might interest some here...

Do you have any idea where the recording is from?

I found conflicting information about this song on YT comments...

Information 1:

This song has been composed by Ukrainian anarchist Ivan Negrebitsky during the Russia-Ukraine and Civil war (1918-1921) especially for Nestor Makhno. This song became almost an anthem for the Ukrainian anarchists, despite it's rather bucolic lyrics. A famous song of the famous warriors, fighting for freedom until their death and after their death, no matter they were wrong or right.

Information 2:

Take note: This song name is "Розпрягайте,хлопці,коні"(Unharness The Horses, Guys!), this is usually the case as there are many songs name taken from the first phase of the song lyric, but some people called this as "Маруся"(Mary), which is also appropriate. Since this is a love song, which the girl inside is call Маруся or Mary.

Many people have mistaken this song as the Cossack army song, which is understandable. Simply listen to it and not looking or knowing the lyric.
