Just before the darkest day of the year Hammerheart Records is extremely proud to show the world the artwork for “Hadeon” by Dutch death Metal legends Pestilence. It is created by Michal "Xaay" Loranc (Behemoth, Nile, Evocation, Vader, Necrophagist), a very talented Polish graphic designer whom perfectly turned Patrick Mameli’s visions and concept into art!

Together with the announcement of the “Hadeon” cover artwork Hammerheart Records releases the first single-track from “Hadeon”, the song “Multi Dimensional”. “Multi Dimensional” is a great appetizer for the album and shows all of Pestilence's trademarks in one killer song.

The perfect mixture of old school and some innovative elements (as one would expect from Pestilence), a song that indeed could have been on a logical follow-up album to the legendary “Testimony of the Ancients” album. Enjoy!

Вчера, 25-го июня, вышел девятый номерной альбом Exitivm (лат. Paзpyшeние) уважаемых нидерландских прог-дэтстеров Pestilence (Бyбoннaя чyмa) из города Энсхеде, провинция Оверэйссел, на польском лейбле Agonia Records (ARCD227). Может показаться, что ярлычок так себе, но контора за 18 лет стало вполне солидной среди дэт- и блэк-метал банд, издав релизы Aborym, Absu, Centinex, Demonical, October Tide, и др. Впечатляет и семь вариантов — кассета, два винила, три сиди, и цифра. Однако, на всех присутствует одно и то же количество треков — 12 (включая интро и аутро) на 39 минут. Издавна люблю когда альбом влезает на одну сторону кассеты, помимо практичности, теперь и просто не успевает надоесть с первого же раза.



Состав, записавший Exitivm, со времён выхода предыдущего альбома Hadeon '18, полностью поменялся, и выглядел так — единственный постоянный участник — вокалист / гитарист Patrick Mameli (он же и продюсировал с помощью Jory Hogeveen), гитарист Rutger van Noordenburg (Bleeding Gods), бас-гитарист Joost van der Graaf (экс-Sinister и Dew-Scented) и барабанщик Michiel van der Plicht (экс-God Dethroned и мн.др.). Обложку нарисовал краковский дизайнер Michał "Xaay" Loranc, который помимо художеств на многочисленных релизах, гроулит в своей местной техно-дэт банде Redemptor.



Кому как, сам-то лично издревле любил этих голландцев, особенно их монументальный шедевр Testimony Of The Ancients '91, c одной из лучших дэтовых композиций Land Of Tears c крутейшим по тем временам клипом. Поэтому ещё с зимы ждал выхода Exitivm с нетерпением. Как теперь модно, были выпущены на стримингах промо-синглы Morbvs Propagationem (поддержанный видео) и Deificvs, которые сразу понравились, напоминая структурами и мелодиями как раз тот самый мегалит 91-го года.



А однозначно короткие треки добавляли интерес, приходилось гонять на репите. Собственно, на самом альбоме эти два сингла следовали друг за другом, предварительно разогретые затянутой клавишной интро. Все десять композиций настолько короткие, самая длинная на 3:48, что поневоле хотелось, как и с синглами, переслушать ещё разок, потом ещё и ещё. Однако, несмотря на многочисленные прослушивания, не смогу прямо сейчас заявить, что Extivm сможет стать лучшим дэт-альбомом года, как-то Asphyx и Memoriam более впечатлили, но возможно, со временем войдёт и в пятёрку, ибо все треки очень крутые. Саунд тяжёлый, риффы заточенные топоры, гроулинг аккуратный и солидный, без дуркований, близок к трэшевым образцам. Фирменные атмосферные вступления создают нужное впечатление, а на улице отдельные сэмплы доставляют эмоций. Барабаны же настолько правильно записаны, а все инструменты были сделаны в местных нидерландских студиях, что их просто не замечаешь. Если даже придираться, тут хорошие и бочки и снэр. Что безусловно радует, что вышел такой альбом не однодневка, который явно украсит это страшно жаркое лето. И отвлечёт от разных сложностей, которых становится многовато, вот даже вчера пришлось вaкцuoнupoвaться Cпyтнuком.
