Drone veteran Creation VI (Russia) presents us with his debut album on Cryo Chamber.
The cold wind howls outside the warm yurt, the shaman inside prepares the pipe. The inhale is deep. With the exhale he starts throat singing. The smoke dances between drums and bells raised by the rest of the tribe. Sweaty face sway and glazed eyes blink in rhythm with the beat.
This album is a journey of us humans moving through the ages in our universe. Trying to figure out our place within it as we forge myths and philosophies. Build megaliths and temples. Send our prayers into space and bide our time waiting for the miracle.
Recorded on old tapes for a fuzzy warmth. This album uses a lot of acoustic instruments like blockflute, chinese flute (hulusi), shruti-box, harmonica, ocarina, kazoo, bells, chimes, seeds & seedpods. Tribal drums make you feel like you are in the middle of a hypnotic ritual. Recommended for you who enjoy Ugasanie and Paleowolf and field recordings.

The wind has changed. The Earth itself vibrates underneath. The wind speaks of the North — and so the journey begins.
They leave marks on the stones and carry the fire. Drums and flutes speak with the elements. Voices emerge and fade through the fog.
Through the nights full of rustling, of whispers and glowing eyes.
The bridge of ice welcomed them to a new land. And melted away behind them.
So the journey goes on… credits released September 17, 2019

Together with the labels NEBOSVOD and ZHELEZOBETON we're glad to present the proper reissue of the work, first published in 2015 in a small edition of 80 copies. This is a collaboration album recorded by the projects Creation VI and Ugasanie and dedicated to several sacred places of Chukotka, such as the Whale Bone Alley on Yttigran island and a collection of ancient rock engravings on the Pegtymel river. The album was inspired by the documentary "Chukotka: The Coast of Memory" directed by Andris Slapiņš and poems of the Yupik poetess Zoya Nenlyumkina, who was born in the now deserted village of Naukan, which at that time was the easternmost settlement of Eurasia.
Petroglyphs carved on stones along rivers, bird colonies and herds of walruses, whale skulls dug on the coast hundreds of years ago - many images were captured in the sounds of this album. Mouth harps and ocarinas, throat singing, field recordings and transparent iridescence of cold creeping ambient, saturated with echoes of shamanic rituals, cries of bird flocks and songs that the ocean sings to heavens while playing on coastal pebbles. credits released November 25, 2019
